Consumer complaints board

Bowmer & Nuiten is a member of the Disputes Commission for the Legal Profession. If an internal complaint does not lead to a solution, the client can turn to the Disputes Commission for alternative dispute resolution (ADR). More information about this is available at www.degeschillencommissie.nl.

If the client is a consumer, the Disputes Commission will decide by means of a binding decision, unless the client, who is a consumer, applies to the civil court within one month after the complaint has been handled by the lawyer. If the client, who is a consumer, does not deposit the outstanding invoice(s) of the participant with the Disputes Commission in accordance with the provisions of the Disputes Committee Regulations, arbitration will apply. Disputes with business clients are settled by the Disputes Commission through arbitration.
