Sabine Imdahl (1987) graduated from Maastricht University with a double- masters degree in European and Dutch (civil) law in 2012. During University Sabine had several internships with respected law firms both in The Netherlands, Germany and on the Island of Aruba.
Sabine is German and speaks both German and Dutch fluently. She also lived in New Zealand for a time and therefore speaks fluent English.
Sabine started working for Bowmer & Nuiten in March 2013 and she now works at our Rotterdam boutique family law office. Sabine practices in international family law. She is specialised in child custody cases, both in national and cross-border situations. Sabine also advises German courts as an independent expert on Dutch Family law.
Sabine is a qualified family law mediator. She can mediate in three different languages. In 2022, Sabine followed the intensive international MiKK mediation course in Berlin. MiKK mediators are specialized in mediating in cross-border family matters. This encompases, for example, disputes about moving abroad, child custody, remigration and child abduction. Through its network, MiKK organizes bilingual and bicultural mediations worldwide for parents according to the internationally renowned MiKK mediation model.

Sabine runs our German desk and is contact person for our German clients regarding legal issues about Dutch Law. Sabine was nominated in 2011 for the law firm JPR Advocaten’s Dutch-German Jurist Prize. Sabine is a member of the German- Dutch – Lawyer- Association (DNRV).
In her spare time, Sabine loves to travel and to kickbox.
